How events are found

Twice a day, a small program reads the public event calendars and event pages of Nebraska tech groups, universities and organizations. It keeps events that are about technology and happen in Nebraska (or online, hosted by a Nebraska group), merges the same event listed in two places, and links each one to the organizer's own page. New sources are reviewed by a person before their events appear.

NETechConnect does not sell tickets, take registrations or keep attendee lists. To go to an event, follow its link to the organizer.

For website owners

Our bot identifies itself as NETechConnectBot/1.0 (+https://netechconnect.com/about). It only reads public pages, follows robots.txt, waits at least 5 seconds between requests to the same site (longer if your robots.txt asks), and reads each source at most once or twice a day.

To ask us to stop reading your site, or to correct an event, open an issue at github.com/timbertino1/CommunityTechConnect. We will respond within a week.

Privacy

This site uses no cookies, no accounts and no tracking, and it loads nothing from other websites, except Cloudflare Turnstile's spam check on the suggestion form. We store only public event details: titles, times, places, organizers and short descriptions.

On the suggestion form, the address you suggest may become public. Notes are private, used only to evaluate your suggestion, and deleted after 30 days.
